Why this site exists, and how it actually works.
GetOnlineTool is basically a bunch of small tools stuck together on one site. Word counter, case converter, a calculator, a keyword phrase builder for people running Google Ads. Nothing fancy. The whole point was just to stop making people sign up for stuff they'll use for thirty seconds.
Honestly it started because of getting tired of opening five tabs just to count words in an essay or flip some text to uppercase. Half of those sites want an email address first, for a word counter. So this exists instead.
There's no office and no team of twenty people behind this. It's a small setup, and tools get added when there's an obvious gap, something people clearly need but can't find a decent free version of anywhere. If a tool feels off or breaks on your phone, that's usually next on the list.
Everything runs in your browser. Type into the word counter, hit convert on the case tool, whatever, and none of that text goes anywhere near a server. Close the tab and it's gone. The notepad tool is the one exception, since it saves in your browser so a draft doesn't get lost, but even that stays on your device only.
Text tools especially get used for personal stuff. Drafts, private notes, things people don't necessarily want floating around online. So keeping it local isn't really a nice-to-have here, it's the whole point.
Roughly speaking there are text tools for everyday writing, a couple of SEO tools for keyword and schema work, and a calculator because why not. More get added slowly, usually whenever something is annoying enough to fix.
Found a bug or want a tool that doesn't exist yet? The email on the contact page actually gets read. Replies might take a day or two since this isn't a big operation, but every message gets looked at.
